Dr. Wayne Dyer was one of America’s best self-help author and motivational speaker. I had the blessing of seeing him live at the Hay House, I Can Do It, conference in New York City in 2012. It was an honor to be in his presence and hear him in action. He passed away on Sunday, August 30th. In honor of his remembrance, here are 12 of my favorite Dr. Wayne Dyer quotes:
1. “With everything that has happened to you, you can either feel sorry for yourself or treat what has happened as a gift. Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.”
2. “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”
3. “You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be.”
4. “The more you see yourself as what you’d like to become, and act as if what you want is already there, the more you’ll activate those dormant forces that will collaborate to transform your dream into your reality.”
5. “You’ll see it when you believe it.”
6. “When you’re at peace with yourself and love your self, it is virtually impossible to do things to yourself that are destructive.”
7. “Relax, let go, allow, and recognize that some of your desires are about how you think your world should be, rather than how it is in that moment. Become an astute observer . . . judge less and listen more.”
8. “You have a powerful mind that can make anything happen as long as you keep yourself centered.”
9. “Affirm: I place no limits and no restrictions on all that I intend to accomplish and become from here on in.”
10. “The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.”
11. “The greatest gift you were ever given is your imagination. Within it is the capacity to have all your wishes fulfilled. Look around you. Everything that you can experience with your senses was once in someone’s imagination.”
12. “If you want to find deeper meaning in your life, you can’t find it in the opinions or the beliefs that have been handed to you. You have to go to that place within yourself.”
In loving memory. Rest in peace, Dr. Dyer.
